Nathan Burton grew up in this town. As a youth, he fell in love with Emily Garner, who was firmly attached to our church. So he became firmly attached, as well, receiving baptism and making his membership vows to support our ministries by his prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness. He has been faithful in fulfilling these vows since he joined in 2001.

Nathan and Emily have raised their three children in our church. His wife, Emily, is a local business owner and employer. The two of them have been essential in our children's and youth ministry, as well as many of our other committees.

We regularly call upon Nathan for help with technology related things. He was instrumental in facilitating our church's provision of office space to Bank of Yazoo when their downtown building was flooded, which has been mutually beneficial to both organizations. Nathan is currently upgrading church security system, helping upgrade our worship multimedia, and updating our church's data storage and software systems.

Nathan is known for working quickly and efficiently. More importantly, he is happy to help, asking for no credit or repayment.

Mr. Burton began employment with Bank of Yazoo in 1999. His promotion to Senior Vice President should surprise no one.

Bank of Yazoo is a mainstay of our community, making the local economy stronger, benefiting many local businesses and citizens. Many of our members over the years have worked for Bank of Yazoo. We are glad they have the same sensibilities in recognizing high quality.
